I'd like to make the following automation, but I can't seem to find the right options:

When a task (A) is created in the "Client" column of Board A, an automation should be set up that creates two tasks titled "Task A ((Client)) ((Date))" and "Task B ((Client)) ((Date))" every day at 6:00 AM. Here, ((Client)) should be replaced by the title of the task created in "Client".

I know how to set up the automation to create the tasks with the date daily, but I'm uncertain how to get the client's name for the automation-tasks.

Perhaps someone has a better idea than toying around with the "Client" column or a solution for this notion.

On to a second question: How can I ensure that when the task (A) in "Client" is deleted, no new tasks are created daily for this client?

Hello @Tomasz Niemiec

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

An issue is not created "in" a board. An issue is created in a Project.

A board is just a way to display and manipulate issues that exist in Projects.

Issues are displayed in boards based on the issue filter that defines the board. It is possible for an issue to match the issue filter for multiple boards.

A "column" in a board is mapped to 1..n Statuses to which an issue can be set.

It is not possible for Automation to detect the "column" in which an issue is displaying in a board. However, you can take actions against issues based on the Issue Created event, or based on the Issue Transitioned (to a Status value) event.

Can you provide a screen image of your board showing the columns where one exists named Client? What are the Status values mapped to that column?

Regarding your second question:

What do you mean the task is being "deleted" from the column? Are you actually deleting issues? Or are you moving the issue to another column?
