Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I have a fairly simple automation that triggers on case creation (sets assignee, priority, and adds two labels, creates two subtasks and sets priority and assignee). It was working fine but for the past two days has been either lagging for sometimes hours or completely failing. I disabled it and rebuilt it but it's still not working.
I had enabled a template plug in for the parent case but disabled it because it was definitely causing issues.
I'm not sure if this means we need to upgrade our plan or if there's some performance issue on the cloud or what. Any suggestions for things for me to try?
Hi @Myfanwy Collins,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
There was an active incident yesterday that affected automations, that incident should now be fixed and everything should be back to normal.
When the automation fails, what error do you get in the audit log?
Thanks @Mikael Sandberg
Good to know about the active incident! I was going crazy yesterday and hadn't joined this community yet and so thought it was all on my end.
It was mostly just lagging quite significantly and then I was messing with my automation and disabled it and reenabled it and then it was adding subtasks all over the place and so at this point I think I need to let it sit for a bit and work itself out because, Hi. It's me. I'm the problem. It's me.

Wish I had checked the status yesterday and this morning! It seems like the issues are still on Jira's side. Lesson learned!

I would recommend keeping an eye on https://status.atlassian.com/, you can subscribe to the products to get notified when there is an incident. Looks like the delay of automations that happened yesterday is back today as well, but I have not seen it on our instance yet.

@Mikael Sandberg This status of this says it is resolved but I am still having automations that are not triggering at all and show no errors. I imagine it is due to the delay? Can you please confirm if this issue is still being resolved
