Automation rule for moving object to another object type in Insight

would you please provide us more information, what you are trying to do? When and why do you need to do this?

There are several steps, which need to be resolved, to move objects between types, so it won't be easy to automate such a thing.

Hi,

Sorry for my delay. Assets are imported from monitoring tool in Insight. New assets are classified as virtual servers. This is while I want each new asset (in monitoring tool) to be classified according to its own category after registration in the Insight DB. Is there any solution to do this scenario?

Hi @GG ,

just to be sure - by monitoring tool in Insight you mean Insight Discovery? If so, I believe the better way is to configure your import, so that the data are imported to the correct object types immediately.
