I am trying to copy details put into a form that creates an epic into tasks that are created through an automation but I can't get them to copy through. I have tried all the built in copy functions (Trigger work, parent, epic work) but none copy that info into the new task.
Here is where in the automation I see the copy through options
The field in the red circle on the right should match the department listed in the epic just above it
I'm sure I'm missing something simple....
I figure it out, simple error. I didn't have a the custom field department32 available in my task and subtask. It was only active in my Epic
That would have been my next question after your response. Glad to hear you've figured it out!

Hey @Quinn Campbell ,
Have you tried the 'Trigger work item' option, like in the parent field? From ther,e I'm assuming the Epic is your trigger work item - and the one you're trying to copy the value from.
Regards.
Thorsten
