I have been trying to create an issue based in a branch name, so, everytime i push a github branch with "fix/*" this would trigger and then create a issue relating to the branch smart values.
However i can find a way to make it work. What am i doing wrong here?
Hi @José Ignacio Nieva -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What do you observe happening when this rule runs?
Would you please post images of the audit log details and of your advanced branch details (For each" Smart Value {{branchName}}? That may provide some context for what is happening. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi Bill! is so nice to meet you.
The problem is, it doesn't even trigger despite the fact that i pushed a branch with the name "fix/test" in it.
Should i try removing the for each statement and use the smart value as it is?
Thank you for your quick answer!
Kind regards,
Ignacio

First thing: if the rule is not triggering when the branch is created there is something to fix in the connection between the source control tool and Jira. Please investigate that first, and once the trigger is working we can improve the other rule details.
Thanks!
