Automate Jira Cloud User export

Hello Atlassian Community,

We are performing our migration to Jira Cloud. We are looking at the full user export in the admin portal and it has some absolutely amazing information. We want to automate the creation of this export. Has anyone had success in automating the full user export with groups/group IDs?

Hi @Adam Quinn – as @Bill Sheboy mentioned, exporting all users is not possible in a straightforward way natively in Jira.

If you consider Marketplace apps, you could try Jira CLI to export all users via the GetUserList command to a CSV file.

I do not believe there is a built-in, automated way to export the users.

As alternatives you could investigate the Atlassian Marketplace to search for an addon, or you could build something using the REST API for user management:
