Automate JIRA Canned Reports(Time Spent Report)

Looking to see how I can automate the JIRA Time Spent Report to be run and exported to excel monthly.

Is that a report from a plugin? Do they have apis to do such actions programatically?

I believe it is baked into JIRA. It is a Project level report in the 'Other' category
