Automate Actual Start When Issue Transition

Hi Team, 

I am trying to create a trigger from start in which the trigger would automatically update the Actual Start Date when an issue is transition from "Backlog/Selected for Development" to In Progress?

Hi @Danial Anand and welcome to the Community!

The trigger looks like this in Automation. You can then apply conditions (e.g. for a specific project only) and Action would be "Edit issue fields".

Thank you for the quick answer, I the suggested over the weekend and added on more conditions, however it seems like I am doing something wrong as the fields that I want to update i.e. " Actual Start and Actual End " are now picking the date and time of the status transition. 

Could you point me out on where I am making a mistake?

Can you screenshot the Details of the Edit issue fields action? That's where the Magic *should* happen ;)
