Auto-add part of parent summary to sub-tasks that are also created by an automation

Example for further context:

  • I create a task manually, using an example summary it would be:
    • Testing - Campaign Launch
  • After this is created, there are multiple sub-tasks created automatically. Example summary of subtasks:
    • Platform 1 - Campaign Launch
    • Platform 2 - Campaign Launch
    • Brief
    • Performance Recap

My question is: How do I get "Testing -" coming directly from the parent into my sub-tasks automatically? Example of how I would like to look automatically:

  • Testing - Platform 1 - Campaign Launch
  • Testing - Platform 2 - Campaign Launch
  • Testing - Brief
  • Testing - Performance Recap

Please let me know if I can provide anymore context!

Hi @Breanna Williams ~ is the info you're pulling from the parent always a specific length or wording?  Would it be anything in the parent that is before the dash?

Hi @Laurie Sciutti ! It is not a specific length. Yes, it would be anything before the dash!

Hi @Breanna Williams ~ I think you want this:

{{issue.summary.substringBefore("-")}}
