I am trying to export issues with attachments from Jira Server and importing those issues in Jira Cloud

I am able to import the issues to Jira Cloud but attachments are not getting exported

I am getting an error stating that " An exception occurred dealing with attachment<URL>"

Need help on this

How can we import issues with attachments??

@Rahul

When you are choosing projects to import you can select 'Attachments only' option.

@Sebastian Krzewiński Importing only attachments to specific project is fine, but how can attachtments imported to specific issues

The imported issues will have different issue keys in this site, right?

@Rahul

How did you migrate issues? By migration assistant? If yes, issue keys should be the same and migration tool will be able to connect attachments with correct issues.

I am exporting issues and importing the issues to Jira cloud through CSV

@Rahul please consider to use migration assistant. It's a very good tool and limit issues like that.

Regarding importing via csv - did you check this - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/importing-attachments-into-jira-cloud-applications-using-csv-files-779160784.html ?

Hi @Rahul

There is an option to migrate attachments only after issue migration. Please try it and check if error still exists.

In the meantime:

-  you can check if attachments are available on the server,

- you can check attachments that generate this issue - maybe some of them are corrupted

- you can ask atlassian migration support about this issue.

Regards,

Seba
