Hello, there was some sort of update that resulting in our inability to select a drop down menu on the attachment header. Previously, we could use a list view that would provide the date of when it was uploaded. Even with the thumbnail version it would show the date.
Now you cannot choose a different attachment view unless you click on "See the old view".
No Menu for Attachment Drop Down Below:
Click on See Old View:
Then you can get the menu drop down, this may be a bug. If not a bug, please tell me how I can update the settings to always show list and date. Any time I leave that ticket, it goes back to the new view and I have to go through the process.
Hi Danielle,
Welcome to our Community site. I understand that using the new Jira cloud issue view appears to be lacking some of the features you have grown accustomed to in the previous Jira Cloud view, especially in regards to the way attachments are managed on an issue.
The new issue view is a redesign of the user interface on a large scale. Unfortunately, all the features I think you are looking for in the new issue view do not yet exist. I found a set of three different feature requests that I believe encompass the features you are looking for here regarding attachments:
I don't know if these features will come to the new issue view, but I would ask that you review each of these and vote on the 'this affects my team' for any issue that you are affected by.
You can actually disable this new issue view for the time being on your account. Do to this please navigate to your user avatar in the bottom right corner of your Jira Cloud site, and select personal settings. When you do this, you can turn off the 'New Jira issue view' for your account on that site.
If you do choose to turn off this feature, you will most likely be prompted to give a bit of feedback as to why. I would strongly suggest completing that form as it will really help our Cloud development team that is working on the new issue view to better understand why users might turn this off.
I hope this helps.
Andy
