Attach an E-Mail to a work-item

Dear Community,

we are using Jira Cloud and Outlook (new and old version are available). 

Right now, we are in the transformation to fully use Jira. That's why we currently have many e-Mails we need to attach in our issues. Best would be to drag and drop the email from outlook to the comments of a jira issue. 

Unfortunately, it does not work from the new outlook.

from old outlook, the e-mail looses its format.

do you have a best practice solution for these cases?

I was Using this Outlook Addon so i know from first hand. The primary problem is on Microsoft’s side. New Outlook is web-based, so it still does not really support proper integrations in the same way as classic Outlook.

Also, the problem you described is related to this.

And is there a way - using the old Outlook - to attach the Email without loosing the format?

So how does this relate to Atlassian, as it seems this is a MS issues?

Best option I can give you is to save an email and attach the eml file to the Jira issue
