Atlassian Jira Automation plugin 9.0.3 error

We recently upgraded our Automation plugin to 9.0.3, in line with our version upgrade of Jira DC, in both our environments, Production and Pre-Production. However what we discovered is that this particular version does not work correctly in Production, but does in Pre-Prod!?

We have since had to downgrade our Production version to 8.2.4, which is the latest version that works; but now that we are running Jira 9.12.2, it is not designed to work with this version of Jira!

Has anybody experienced this issue, and do you know what the issue might be?

Hi @Karl Samson

Did you follow the upgrade task when updating automation assuming your previous version was old ?

Upgrading to Automation for Jira 7.3 or later | Automation for Jira Cloud and Data Center | Atlassian Documentation

No. We didn't follow the required manual Script update, and suffered the consequences! Here is the required fix that works:- Automation rules cannot be enabled, disabled or published after an upgrade of Automation for Jira to 9.0.1 or a higher version | Automation for Jira | Atlassian Documentation
