I have created an issue. I have then assigned it to myself. I am not getting any mail. However when it is assigned to someone else he gets a mail.

Why I am not getting any mail. Is it possible to get the mail?

There is a user setting that controls whether you receive notifications for your own actions. To change it, click your avatar in the upper right, choose Profile, look for the Preferences section, and find My Changes.
