Assigning Tasks or Stories to an Epic using email handling

I'm using email handlers to create tasks and have successfully assigned the task to the appropriate resource.  My question is, can I also assign the task or story to a preexisting Epic?

Hello Dean,

Unfortunately, I'm afraid this option is not available on JIRA, however, we have created a feature request to add the functionality to select epics when creating issues through e-mail:

- Create issue via email directly in a specific Epic

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, the option you can use to set whatever fields you want (Including Epic links) would be by importing it through CSV, which is a more complex operation of course.
