I am a professor at Harrisburg University.
I've created two new 'Company-Managed' projects in Jira (Atlasian Cloud) and assigned students to each project.
While the students are showing up as 'people' under project settings, they are not showing up (in small circles) on the top of 'backlog' or 'active sprints' pages....AND I cannot assign any issues to any of these students...I only have myself as an option to assign.
What must I do to make sure these students can be assigned to issues?
Hello @Warren Dutka
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
In a Company Managed project in order for a user to be able to be selected in the Assignee field of issues, they must be granted the Assignable User permission in the Permission Scheme associated with the project.
You can see the Permission Scheme associated with the project and the settings in that scheme by going to Project Settings and selecting Permissions. This is the permission you need to check.
Here is a link to the documentation for managing permissions and permission schemes for Company Managed projects.

If you have questions about what specifically you need to change, let us know. And provide a screen image of what your permission scheme shows, like I did above.
