Are next Gen Projects a Cloud only feature or available on premise too?

I'd like to work with next Gen Projects as presented in What's New Webinar to independently administer Projects.

Is this feature only a Cloud feature and with which Version does it start?

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Next-gen projects are currently only available for Service Desk and Software Cloud.

Cloud products don't have a version, so if you want to test, you can create a new site and it will already have the option to create next-gen and classic projects.

I had a look on this threat and must say it is not very motivating to me to decide for Jira Server. In opposite - there are lots of unsatisfied customers missing Features in Jira Server!
