Are custom Jira collectors working with JQuery 3.0 or higher?

Hello,

I saw that JRACLOUD-66785 is marked as closed but our developers are still complaining about the problem from the comments section:

"This issue still seems to occur if you implement a custom issue collector. JQuery 3.0+ throws the error. "

Is there a fix or an workaround that could work and allow us to use a Jira custom collector in our application?

I had the same problem with Jira server v8.2 and a collector inserted as Javascript embed into Liferay 7 (which uses jQuery 3).

After inserting the HTML embed version of the collector instead, the collectors are working again.
