Archiving Items

Hi, I want to understand if the Child items under an Epic get Archived automatically if you Archive the Epic - or do you have to do it individually? The latest Release Bundle mentions that When archiving an epic work item, you can now archive its child work items along with it. But there is a lot of ambiguity around it. Please help.

Hi @Agransh_Anand and welcome!

I can confirm that child items get archived when archiving the parent Epic.

When you archive the Epic you get the question if you want to archive the child issues as well.

When searching the child issue by Work item key you get a warning that the item is archived

I hope this helps!

Hello @Agransh_Anand

When you are archiving an Epic that has child work items linked to it, Jira asks you if you want to archive the Epic only and gives you the option to archive the child work items as well.
