Archival process/step for the issues

User seeing the ‘Archive’ option as disabled oir N/A for the user even he is having project admin & system administrator access , could you please how to provide archive issue access to the user. Thanks.

Are you using Jira Server or Jira Data Center? Issue archiving is available only for Jira Data Center.

Hi Trudy Claspill,

Thanks for the prompt response.

Yes we are using Jira Data Center. Still the user having system administrator access but archive issue is not enabled for him.

Do we need to create any role for the user for archive permission's  ? Incase if we need to grant permission how could we do this? Please advise. Thanks.

Are other users with the same permissions able to see the Archive option?

Have you tried using the Permission Helper to investigate why this particular user can't see the Archive option?

In a Data Center system where I have both the Global permissions for Jira Administrator and Jira System Administrator, and in projects where the Archive Issues permission is not granted to anybody, I am still able to see the Archive option for issues.
