Applying a new Jira Software license key

Hi. I have inherited a Jira server as my manager doesn't have time to manage it.  I noticed that the support key was not updated the last time the server maintenance was renewed.  I have the new key.  Is it just a matter of copy-paste and is this something I can do during the day without have to restart?

Yes, it is just a copy-paste and you can do it anytime. No restart is needed, the license will take affect right away.
