we are migrating jira from data center to cloud and found Dataplane is not supported.  It is a critical app for us, is there a alternative supported by jira cloud?

I have the same issue. We use Data Plane reports in Jira Server. We are now moving to Jira Cloud and do not have equivalent version of these reports.

Appreciate if any suggestions on which is the closest tool for Data Plane reports in the Jira Cloud.

I'm quite fond of the apps that move your reporting back into Jira and Confluence (I've spent years having to explain just why the "build your own report" business reporting tools have a nasty tendency to generate reports that are, well, wrong), with gadgets and reports.

But if you can't do it that way, the first option I turn to on Cloud is Eazybi.  Like Dataplane, it understands Jira data properly, but there is a Cloud version.

You might also want to start looking at the Cloud Data Lake.  It enables you to connect your BI tool of choice to Cloud (without having to understand the Jira database - that's really utterly unsuitable for reporting via SQL).  The Data Lake in early access at the moment, but you'll find people are talking about it here.
