I need to create an automation rule that assigns a user when a transition runs.
This rule works fine when run manually. It also works when I set it from a transition and in the post function configured the generic event. But when I place a different event that I created with the generic event template to send an email to specific users, the rule doesn't work and I don't see anything in the log.
In other cases, it works.
Currently automation cannot trigger on custom events. There is a request to have this implemented, JSDCLOUD-4461. If you want to see this happen, go and vote and follow this request.
Hi Jose,
You could set a custom field value (we created a custom field called Generic Yes Field) when you send the email and then create your rule based on a Field value change trigger.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hi John,
I tried the solution you recommended but the automation rule doesn't run either.
