Hello, I've been having a lot of problems with Table Grid, and their documentation is very basic and outdated, to say the least.
Does anyone know of alternative to it? Another plugin that does the same sort of thing, but slightly better?
Welcome to the community!
Could you share which features you use most in Table Grid? That would help the community suggest the best alternative.
You may also want to evaluate the Excel-like Tables for Jira app by Ricksoft (disclosure: I work for Ricksoft).
It provides a spreadsheet-style experience directly inside Jira, including formulas, Excel import/export, charts, filters, and Jira field synchronization.

Feel free to try the app, and let us know if you have any questions or need assistance.
Thank you.
Hello, Victor, thank you for your reply.
I believe your would fit the need we have at the moment, but let me ask you one thing, that is our main problem right now.
Can I link a custom field to a column in table and, if that is possible, can I enforce context to it? How will it work in different project that have different field context for that field?

Sorry for the delay.
Yes, this is supported in the Excel-like Tables for Jira app through Jira Field Mapping. The mapped field will use the values available based on the Jira field context configured for the issue.
You can find more details in our documentation:

Thank you.

Hello @francis
Is there a way to hide a Table Grid field based on another field? Tried wth Scriptreunner and Live Fields and neither could do it.
Could you help clarify the following?
Is a Table Grid field exposed to Jira Cloud screens as a standard custom field that other apps can access by customfield_xxxxx?
Is the Table Grid field compatible with client-side visibility tools such as Appfire Live Fields?
Does Table Grid render asynchronously or outside the standard Jira field DOM in a way that could cause another app to fail when calling getFieldById("customfield_xxxxx")?
Are there any known limitations with hiding/showing a Table Grid field on Jira Cloud Create, Edit, Issue View, or Transition screens?
Is there a supported Table Grid API, configuration, or workaround to conditionally hide/show the grid based on another Jira field value?
Should the field be present on a specific Jira screen, field configuration, or Table Grid context for third-party tools to detect it?

I'm Duong from the Table Grid Next Generation team.
I can confirm that on Jira Cloud, our app currently supports Grid Custom Field as a standard Jira custom field.
