Allow a User to receive updates when another user comments/updates tickets.

Steve Cook September 20, 2018

Hi All,

I have a situation where we have two users which are a boss and an intern with the rights to service the ticket. The boss wants to be notified each time the intern makes a change just so he can make sure he doesn't miss anything they have done, is something like this possible?

The only solution I have come up with is to try and add him as a watcher to all tickets in the entire site automatically with a script however this is not deal because I don't want him to see all projects, is it possible to restrict this to certain projects/workflows?

I'd appreciate any ideas anybody has for a more elegant solution.

Thanks,

Hello,

I think you should create a role. Let's say "Manager". And add your manager to this role. Then you can change the project notificaiton scheme and add this role to the Update Issue and Comment Added event.

It would solve your case.
