After exporting the result, the jira year field value is showing wrong

Dear anyone,

In our jira instance, we have some date fields and we decided to put the value with the year 2099 if we don't have any value for that date field as it is because mandatory. Now , we have put value for those date fields as like 08-dec-2099, but if we export that issue type result with those fields then in the Excel it is showing as 08-dec-1999 still, how to fix this problem ?

Hi @shanmukteja406 , 

Sadly, you have run into one of the bugs in the Atlassian "long term backlog". 

As their backlog of bugs and new features is quite large, I wouldn't hold your breath for this one. 

However, having a mandatory field filled up with "garbage" data, seems to signal some issues with your instance / process. 
If the data is not necessary, why is it mandatory? You might want to re-evaluate your set-up to make sure it works optimal for you(r teams).
