After Effects of Linking Domains

We recently acquired a company who had their own instance of JIRA.  They primarily use if for tracking Projects.  With our instance of JIRA, we primarily use Service Management for Service Desk issues.  

We are on a Premium plan and they are on a Standard plan.

Our instance is company1.atlassian.net and their instance is company2.atlassian.net.

The end goal is for their users to be able to submit service requests and our users to be able to track projects.

If we link their domain, will they lose any functionality?  We need to make sure they can still access their projects.

Linking the domain is the way it authenticates users. Which plans or products you have doesn't come into play at that level.  

Once you have linked each other's domain into each others instances, you can configure who has access to which projects etc.
