I have created new issue types and assigned them to the Epic hierarchy level, however, I cannot assign them the Epic special fields like Epic Name, etc, Hence, what´s useful on this option if I cannot use the new issue types as an Epic?
Only Epics can operate at the Epic level in the Hierarchy. You can create additional levels above the Epic level, but they won't be Epics. You will need to create Issue Links between the levels to connect them.
