Adding estimate time to sub-tasks

I would like to know how I can add estimated time to sub-tasks?

also do they add up to the parent task?

Hi,

You can use "Time Tracking", this is built in feature in Jira.

Go to your screen configuration, add "Time Tracking".

This will add 2 new fields to the screen, "Estimate" and "Remaining".

After you create the sub-task you can also log your work and the remaining will be updated according to your original estimate and logged time.
