Adding custom field type "Issue Picker to Actions for Jira Service Managment Transition Screen

We are using Jira Service Management.  After a user creates an issue I typically provide them with a Transtion screen to allow them to update the fields.  However the custom field type "Issue Picker" is not a support field type, which can be added to a Transtion Screen.  Is there a fix or recommended work around?  Thanks, Peter https://deviniti.com/support/addon/server/actions/latest/supported-fields/
