Adding a task from a Kanban board to a Sprint Board

regina.scherping November 1, 2022

I have created a Company Based Project specific to my Data Team which uses a Scrum Board.  Other teams in our organization have created Company Based Projects.  However, they are using Kanban boards.  In all likely hood, our data team will have tasks assigned to us from other projects.  During testing, I can see the task assigned to me, and I can add the Sprint information, but I cannot see the task on my current sprint board, or in our backlog.  It would be very helpful to be able to associate the other project tasks with our current sprints as they relate to us.

Is what I am hoping to do, possible?

Thanks

Hi @regina.scherping

Welcome to the community!

Is the filter for the Scrum board configured properly to display issues that reside in your Kanban board?

Also check your Scrum board’s columns (under Board settings) to see if the statuses are mapped accordingly. Board columns determine what issues are shown on the board after the filter. So if your board columns do not include a status, issues will not be displayed on the board.

Best,

Hamza
