Adding Workflows to Workflow Schemes

Hi all,

I'm looking to roll out a new issue type to our projects and part of that process is adding the new Workflow to the pre-existing Workflow Scheme.

My concern is that, even though the new Workflow is only going to apply to the new Issue Type, when I publish the workflow the second step of the process appears to interact with every issue connected to the scheme:

I've tested this a couple of times in our Sandbox and it's been fine but my question is can this go wrong? Is there a risk that Statuses for Stories/Epics could get misaligned? As far as I'm aware the only way to roll this back if an error occurred would be to do a full Cloud back up restore.

Any advice/guidance is welcome!

Hi @Chris F,

If you associate the new workflow only to the new issue type, you will be totally fine - as you have seen in the sandbox. Nothing to worry about.

Hope this may be reassuring 🚀

Brilliant, thank you for the reassurance Walter. 👍
