Add watchers in new view

Do I need permissions to add Watchers in Jira's New View? In the old view, I just clicked the Watcher icon and added names. I don't see where to do that in the new view.

Do you mean you can not find how add watchers on this screen?

If so, then you can only watch or unwatch an issue, using the icon, which I highlighted with the red colour.

 I see the icon. I can watch or unwatch the issue for myself. In the Old View, I could click on Watchers and add other people. This view does not allow that. I wondered if it's a permission setting or something the new view does not allow.

I found another topic where they explained you CANNOT add watchers in the new view. They're thinking about it as an enhancement.
