Add users from multiple projects to a master group and generate workload report by user.

Brian April 2, 2019

I was hoping someone could help with the following...

Is there an easy way to add current users from multiple projects to a master group and generate a report (by user) showing user workloads (by story)?

This would be really helpful as I'm assessing user workloads over multiple projects (sometimes the resources are shared between these projects).

Thanks!

It depends on how you measure workload. If you just want to see the number of assigned issues, here is how i would likely accomplish...

  1. create a group (let's call it mygroup)and add all desired members to the group
  2. create a filter and save it (let's call it mygroup-filter) that represents what you want to monitor, e.g. assignee in membersof ("mygroup")
  3. create a dashboard and using the two-dimensional gadget reference the newly created mygroup-filter. Set the Y-axis to assignee and X-Axis to something like project, status or some other field

This is great, thank you!
