Hi everyone,
I've developed a checklist app and I'm looking to use its functionality by adding it to some automation rules. Specifically, I want to automatically add a checklist when an issue is transitioned to a particular status (e.g., "In Progress").
I've been exploring the automation rules in Jira, but I'm unsure how to integrate my app with them to automatically trigger the checklist addition. Has anyone done something similar, or could you point me in the right direction for this?
Additionally, would it be easier to create a custom field for the checklist feature? It seems like it would simplify things a lot, especially if the field could trigger the checklist automatically.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello @Carlos Lozano Ivars
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I am curious to know ift there is a reason you developed an app rather than using one of the apps already available that provides checklist functionality?
We developed this app internally to not risk any information leaked using one of the apps of the Marketplace, that's the main reason.

Custom field for checklist wouldn't really work unless you have Jira Product Discovery. Does the alternative of radio button work for you?

It may help, so can I add it, because now we got all the task in the description and we wanted to make them as a checklist. We also need to automate all that.
Thanks!!!

Ok, after trying the radio buttons, we still have the same problem.
What we are trying is to be able to see all the tasks that we have remaining and mark the ones we have completed, using the default templates of checkbox and radio buttons we have like a dropdown that makes difficult to see what do you still need to do. That's why we decided to create this app and implement it to the issues automatically.
It will be useful if someone could help me solve this problem.
Thanks!
