I'd like to add the same related issue to all issues of an epic. Is there an easy way to do this? Would bulk edit do this? That might be ok, but I'd like to not have to go through all those menus if I can avoid it.
Hello @Nate Dickinson
An alternative to having to manually enter each issue key as I mentioned in my addition to Summer's answer, is to use an Automation Rule.
If you can formulate a query to select all the issues to which you want to relate the one issue, you can create a rule like this:
Note that you want to make sure you set the End Date above to "After 1 occurrence"
Check the box for "Run a JQL" and enter your JQL statement to select the issues to which you want to link the one issue. Make sure you uncheck the "Only include..." box below the JQL.
In the Link Issue action you can overwrite the option to link to the Trigger Issue by typing in the key of the issue you want to link to the ones selected in the JQL.
If your issues are in multiple projects then this has to be created as a Multiple Project scoped Rule, and you have to list all the projects that will have issues involved in the operation.
Hi @Nate Dickinson - I assume you are asking about adding the same related issue to all child issues in an epic? If so, you cannot actually do this in a bulk edit as the field is not available. The easiest way I can think of to do this is go down in the epic to the Child Issues list and click the 3 dots menu and select View in Search. Export the list or copy and paste the keys into a notepad. Once you have the list, make sure it is comma separated. Go to the issue you want to relate all the other issues to and relate the list. Here are some screenshots. I hope this helps!

The screen you presented is available only in Jira Server/Data Center. The OP tagged their post as for Jira Cloud.
You can do something similar in Jira Cloud, but it doesn't come up in a pop-up. Rather you add multiple issues "inline" in the Linked Issues section.
However it doesn't allow you to paste in a comma separated list. You have to enter each key separately.

Thanks Trudy, I was wondering how to get to that screen. What a bummer this functionality doesn't exist without having to perform this task manually.
