Add remaining label card on jira board

Hello,

I'm still having trouble with our project

I want to add the Remaining Time to the issue cards on our project board.

However, I don't have access to the Card Layout option. From what I've learned, it seems I need to create an automation rule to achieve this. I tried using ChatGPT to create the automation, but it's still not working. Could you please assist me with this?

We are using jira-ourcompany.atlassian.net, and I have admin permissions.

When I open the board and click on the (...) menu, I don't see the Card Layout option. Instead, I only see options like Fields and others.

It seems the only way to do this is by creating an automation rule.

Do you mean you want to be able to see remaining time on the cards on the Kanban board?

If so can you provide screenshots showing your board and what you see when you click on (...) to help us resolve your problem?

yes its correct. but i need create automation tool for this action, because i dont see card layout in configure board.

As @Piyush Annadate _ACE Pune_ says, you shouldn't need automation for this and the screenshots  Piyush shared should show you what you need to do, if you can't see that please share screenshots of what you do see.

Generally, remaining time (& estimations) are part of Log Work [are you able to see original estimate, time tracking in the view and able to edit?].

You may refer to screenshot below to add the required and location of the option to achieve [Assuming you have product admin permission; project admin permission and board admin permission differs]

Oh, so that's your Team/business Managed project. Kindly note - Team Managed/business project boards config cannot be changed. 

You can create a filter having your team managed project details, and then create a kanban board with filter you've created. There you will have config that i shared in screenshots earlier.
