At work with Jira there is on the Support Tickets "Add internal note" and "Reply to customer". People with the proper permissions can add notes to the tickets at any time.
The issue I am having is I would like the comments to be emailed to me at my work address.
How do I accomplish this.
It does notification within Jira, but I want email notification when comments/notes are made.
I have been stung one to many time by comments/notes that were missed because I didn't go through every ticket each day.
Hello @Rebecca
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What is your relationship to the tickets? Are you the Assignee, a Request Participant, or a Watcher?
The Notifications configuration for the project can be set up to notify people when the issues have comments added. The Reporter, Watchers, Request Participants, and Assignee are some of the roles that can be notified when comments are added. This change would apply to all issue in the project going forward.
If you are not called out in a User Picker field for the issues, then for which issues would you want to be receiving notifications about comments?
Is the project a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project? You can find that information at the bottom of the navigation panel on the left when you are viewing the project. The type of project will determine who can modify the Notifications configuration and what addition notification options are available beyond the ones I listed above.
