I have created a new issue type called Test with tabs and custom fields for test case writing and execution. I have also created a new sub-task that I want my team to use for alternate flows of the test cases written in the parent issue.
Since the sub-task would be used to write alternate flow test cases it would be beneficial if I could customize the sub-task screen to match the new issue type that I created.
I can't seem to locate the area within Jira Admin that would allow me to add fields, custom fields in particular to the new sub-task screen.
We use Jira Cloud and it is a Company-managed project
The process for adding fields to a screen that will be used for Subtask issue types is the same as the process for adding fields to a screen that will be used for other types of issues.
You have to
1. Create the new screen for the issue type
2. Add fields to the screen
Admin > Issues > Screens> select the new screen you created.
3. Add that new screen to a screen scheme for that issue type
4. In the Issue Type Screen Scheme used by the project, associate the screen scheme to the new Subtask issue type.
