I have a user who would like to let everyone on a project be able to add tickets to a sprint. The only sprint related role I see is "Manage Sprints", which I believe to be too many permissions for everyone on a project to have. Is there another permission/role/whatever I can grant that let's people add tickets to Sprints?
Hi @Zachary Arnie,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
In order to add issues to a sprint, all you need is Edit issue permission, since all you do it update the Sprint field on the issue.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
The above information is correct, however I realized the reason it wasn't working was because the field was missing. That required a change in the screens for issues pertaining to the project. Once the field was added, users were able to assign tickets to active sprints.

Option isn't there for me either.
Found it best to use the backlog view and then drag the ticket you want into the current sprint (can also use the filter first to get the ticket in view easier).
