Accessing work items with certain status during specific time periods

Is there a way to create a Jira query for work items that allows the user to view work items that had a certain status or label or any other possible attribute assigned to them between specific date range or even at least if it was assigned once during their history of changes?

That is the extent of native JQL functionality for querying based on the historic information of the issues.

To get more such functionality would require a third party app.

Would your company be willing to consider subscribing to such an app? How frequently are these types of queries needed? Is this a one time need or a repeating need?
