I am at my whits end.
I've followed all the steps in this how to:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/how-to-restrict-project-access-for-teams-in-jira-cloud-953142266.html
and i'm not able to restrict one used group to one project in Jira Cloud.
I'm not sure who to do to for help but really need to do a screenshare with someone to talk this through - hopefully someone out there can help.
Thank you!
Hi @RS ,
Basically, the key is using the permission scheme to limit the permission to the Browse Project permission for that project.
I would set it up so that the permission scheme uses Project Roles to grant access to the project. Then use groups within the project roles for assignments.
So only include people in a project role on a project that has permissions for Browse Project.
Thanks John.
I'm fairly sure that i've done that.
I'm testing this with only one user but that user continues to have access to all projects. They are in their own group and in their own role.
It's driving me a little crazy...
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Can you share that section of your Permission Scheme?
Also, when you say they have access, does that just mean that they see the name of the project in a list of projects? Or can they see actual issues in that project?

This user can see all issues in all projects.
Here's the permissions for the project:
The user is in that Project Role.
I have also created a Group that only contains this user and given product access to that group.

Since the user is in that Project Role, he would definitely see the issues.
What about a project that he sees issues for that he shouldn't. Can you share the permission scheme for that project?
