I've been noticing this issue for about a week. Wondering if it's widespread or somehow just affecting me and a few colleagues.

To Reproduce: navigate to a ticket that has the Acceptance Criteria field, make in-line changes to the Acceptance Criteria field, submit the changes (either by selecting the check mark or just clicking outside the edit box).

Expected Behavior: the content in the Acceptance Criteria field updates immediately upon submit.

Current Actual Behavior: the content in the Acceptance Criteria field does not update until/unless a full browser refresh is performed.

Impact: this has primarily led to immediate overwrites, which you can visualize by following this workflow in the Acceptance Criteria field: enter edit mode, make change A, submit. Enter edit mode, make a different change B, submit. Refresh browser > only change B is persisted (change A was overwritten when you made change B and refreshed).

Hi Anna Marie, welcome to the Community. So "Acceptance Criteria" isn't a default field in Jira so either it is a custom field or maybe associated with an addon? If it is a custom field that is odd behavior and I have not seen this before and, w/o further info I would refer you to Atlassian Support. If it is a field associated with an addon it would be worth reaching out to the addon support channel.

Hi @Anna Marie Corning,

Please post a screenshot of the field you are referring too. It will help us understand the location of the problem.

As Jack mentioned, Jira does not offer a built-in "Acceptance Criteria" field, so you must be using a custom field or a third-party app.

In case your third-party app is Issue Checklist Free, please let us know, and we will help.

Cheers,
Jack

Thanks @Jack Brickey and @Jack Hunter _HeroCoders_ - sorry for the delay, I wasn't receiving notifications for responses. As of yesterday this appears to have been resolved in our Jira instance, and I didn't get the chance to look into the third-party/custom field suggestions. I am not an administrator, just a user, so I will connect with the relevant folks in my organization if this comes up again. Thanks for the recommendations!

Hi @Anna Marie Corning

if you are using a third party addon to track your Acceptance Criteria in your issues and you struggle with bugs, you might consider checking some other addons on the marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=checklists
