Ability to delete a Task in Classic

Is it possible to delete Tasks in Classic? Sorry to ask but I got mixed messages searching the community. Do I need global admin permissions? I have project specific admin

Issue deletion is a project permission, not global or even project admin (although a lot of us are comfortable with "Delete issue = role: project admin"). 

It needs to be granted in the project's permission scheme, but those can only be changed or associated with projects by your Jira admins.
