A newly created user group doesn't show up in drop down options

I created a new user group to grant access to dashboards. When I tried to assign it to a specific dashboard, the newly created user group is not in the drop down menu options, what am I missing?

Hello @Agustin Calderon 

When sharing a dashboard with a group, you will be allowed to share only with those groups in which you are a member. Are you a member of the newly created user group?

Thank you! that worked. I thought that since I created the group I would not need to add myself to it.
