A newly created status does not show up in backlog

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

I created a new status. When I run the open issues filter, I see issues holding this status. When I look in backlog, I don't see the issues with this status.

In the photo below you can see my simple workflow, "Need Info" is my culprit.jira status.jpg

Hi @Michael Gregory

Have you added the new status into the columns in the Board? Statuses in the Backlog need to be in there to be seen on the board.

If it’s a Kanban Board they’ll need to be in the first column; if Scrum they can be anywhere I believe!

To edit the Board Settings you need to be a Board Admin and choose Options (3 dots in top corner) > Board Settings > Columns and drag the status onto the right column!

Or an alternative, check the Board Filter isn’t status based. Go to Board Settings > General > Filter Query and edit it to see/add this status if needed.
