The error message “Something went wrong on our side” indicates that the failure is occurring during Atlassian’s site provisioning process.
The most likely causes are
1. Site name already reserved. Even if the URL looks available, Atlassian site names must be globally unique, and some may be reserved or recently used. Try a different name (e.g., crop-smart-platform-dev or crop-smart-platform-team)
2. Temporary backend/provisioning issue. Wait a few minutes and try again, preferably in an incognito window or another browser
3. It can be organization restrictions: If your account is part of an Atlassian Organization, site creation may be restricted. Check with your admin if you’re allowed to create new sites
The recommended step is to change the site name and retry in incognito mode. If it still fails, contact Atlassian Support and provide the Anonymous ID shown in the error — they can trace the exact backend failure
