Hey Atlassian Community! 👋
We’re excited to introduce a new way to run your daily standups, right from your Jira Software board! Now your team can collaborate, share updates, and stay aligned, all without leaving Jira!
At Atlassian, we know daily standups are the heartbeat of many teams. But let’s be honest, sometimes they can get a little unorganised, lose focus and run too long. That’s why we built the standups feature in Jira: to help your daily syncs run more efficiently and fit naturally into how your team already operates.
You’ll be able to:
Run standups directly from your Jira board, providing visibility into your team’s work and allowing quick updates without losing context.
Stay focused and productive with a built-in timer and clear indicators of who has already given their update, so you don’t lose track during standup.
Effortlessly manage participants by reordering or skipping team members as needed. You can even save your preferred ordering for future standups.
Customise standups to suit your team’s needs, by adjusting your timer settings and preferred view density
Now your team can focus on the important updates, instead of dealing with the overhead of running standups.
Here’s a quick look at what it’s like to run a standup directly from your board:
Once this feature is available for you, getting started is simple:
Go to your team’s board in Jira Software.
Click the More actions menu (⋯), then select Start standup.
Run your team standup (you can customise it to what works best for your team)
Click End standup when you’re done!

Why do I see a different version of the standups feature?
Customers on the Bundled release track should see the updated standup experience as part of the February 2026 release.
Have you tried the new standup experience? We want to hear from you!
Share your thoughts, suggestions, or stories using the feedback collector in the standup panel.
Thanks for being part of our community and helping shape the future of Jira!
