Understanding how you navigate and collaborate on work in Jira

Hello Community!

We are conducting a study into how users discover, track, and prioritise important work, and how they collaborate on these with their team-members - in hopes to make Jira a better experience for you!

What’s involved in the research:

  • Sessions are 1 hour and conducted over video-conference, so you can participate from anywhere around the globe.

  • During the research, we'll start with a general chat to get to know you, then, understand how you and your team work and navigate within Jira

  • As a token of our appreciation, you'll receive an e-gift card worth $100 USD within 5 business days of completing your session.

Interested in taking part? Follow this link to fill in a few more details so we can make sure you’re a good fit.

If you have any other questions at all, feel free to reply to this message or email me directly on slin2@atlassian.com. We look forward to meeting you!

Cheers,

Sunny

Thanks for sharing this opportunity, Sunny!

The study sounds interesting, and I appreciate that Atlassian is actively gathering user feedback to improve how teams work in Jira.

I’ve submitted my details through the form and would be happy to participate if I’m a good fit. The session format and focus on real-world workflows seem valuable, and the appreciation gesture is a nice bonus as well.

If anything else is needed from my side, feel free to let me know. Looking forward to potentially contributing!

Thanks again,

Sarah

Hi @Sunny Lin

Research discussions with customers and stakeholders matching many persona are always helpful.  So is analysis of the thousands of existing suggestions and defects related to the topic you note.  Please consider investing time with product managers to review, clean, and utilize those suggestions and defects already provided by the community of customers:

Just doing new conversations with limited audiences appears to bias decision-making.  For recent examples, just look at the trust catastrophes caused by the movement of the Status field, the renaming to Work Item, etc.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy, completely agree and we definitely are currently analysing all the existing responses from community, JAC and past research on this topic area - the interview being conducted will be just one aspect of many we take into considerations when we do our best to improve Jira! I can clarify it won't be the only source of truth that we base our decisions on but one of many data points / customer suggestions we consider.

Thank you for your interest @Sarah Navin, currently on my side I don't see your name come through (unless you go by another name), sorry for the inconvenience but you might need to re-sign up again!

Kind regards
Sunny
