Not enjoying the new search.  Searching only Open tickets now takes three clicks instead of one, this is usually what I want.  Searching specific commonly used projects is two clicks instead of one.

The sort order of results is unclear, but I think most recently updated or created or by priority would be better than whatever it's doing now.

I just want to find my work - couldn't they put it back to how it was about a year ago (when I could find my work).

(Though appreciate the article about the changes.)

Can you please switch it back or at least add the ability to switch between tabs, e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.?

Change for changes sake is not progress.

I'm having a harder time to quickly find my most frequently used Kanban/Scrum boards. Because they usually span different projects, going through "Spaces" is not straightforward.

The best experiende was in the on-premise days, where there was a menu item "boards". When we switched to cloud, I got used to use the search for this. Now I have to work with favorites/starred boards in the left navigation. I can live with it, but the new search doesnt add enough benefit to make up for it.

I wish they pushed more of a test case for this rather than forcing the update across the board.

It is also incredibly frustrating that the Rovo search will not update if you need to search multiple times. If I have to search for one term and it does not populate with what I am looking for and I try to update the search bar up at the top, it will instead kick me to the JIRA issue search instead of staying on the Rovo search.

Previously I could run multiple searches and select the application (JIRA Service Desk or Confluence) to get what I was looking for, now if you do not know the exact keyword to pull up on the first attempt, you have to wait and be reloaded or redirected to the JIRA issue search before either clicking the "Back" button or manually go back into the search bar and manually click on the "Search all apps" to restart the Rovo search again.

In the search field I can't find the recent JIRAs anymore. I only see JIRAs viewed 7 hours ago. The Jiras in Search are not the same as under Recent. Under Recent I don't see quickly which Jira Number it is. I only see text.
How can I revert back to the old search function?

In Jira I search for server names.  Before I would only see results that had the server name.  Now, when I search for "webapp7" I see results that don't have "webapp7" in the ticket, like "Decommission filesrvr27".  I've had results where the first result had the text I was looking for, and the rest were unrelated noise.  At first I was opening those extra tickets looking for my server name.  It was really annoying to discover it was a filler result.

For giggles I tried putting double quotes around the text and that does restrict the results to only actual hits, but it annoys me every time I have to type 4 extra keys to add the double quotes when I didn't have to before.

To quote an earlier comment, "Change for changes sake is not progress.".  Features need to be treated like servers.  Don't touch them if you don't have to.  When you fiddle around you break stuff.

Update 3rd November 2025

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback you've been sending via in app feedback plus the comments below.

We're rolling out the ability to more easily search for Confluence plus suggested Atlassian or third party apps.

While we've not yet added the ability to search Confluence in the quick find, clicking Confluence will open Rovo search - where we've added a host of new filters to make it easier to drill down and find specific document:

  • Sort by relevance, updated or created - we'll be adding sorting to Jira search soon!
  • Filter by Owner
  • Filter by Status
  • Filter by Verified pages

Screenshot 2025-11-03 at 1.17.18 pm.png

In addition to this change we have the following short term fixes and updates planned:

  • When you are on the Rovo search page, hitting 'enter' will keep you on Rovo search (vs redirecting to Jira search)
  • Adding clearer UI on Rovo search to let users navigate to Jira search
  • Adding more Work item Status types to filtering (i.e. In progress, Resolved etc)
  • Adding more Work item Types to filtering (i.e.

    Story, Task, Bug, Epic etc)

  • Adding sorting by relevance, updated or created
  • And more!

Thanks again to those of you who have submitted your in app feedback and left a contact email address. The subsequent conversations have been super valuable to helping me and the team improve the Rovo search experience for all Jira customers.

This is pure trash. I use the search bar on a daily basis to avoid duplicate tickets and now I can't find any good answer because the answers that are showed to me are ANYTHING but the single 8 digits code I am looking for.

Please roll back to the old search every comment here is asking for and we need a POST MORTEM about this incident as soon as possible.
